Exploring the Exciting Liffeysiders - Dublin

Dublin is the capital city of Ireland, which was once known as the ‘land of saints and scholars’. It is located on the east coast of the country at the mouth of the River Liffey. Originally founded as a Viking settlement, it has now been listed as a global city. It has a well-connected international airport which makes it convenient in finding cheap airline tickets to Dublin. Most major credit cards are accepted in the city’s shops, clubs, museums and restaurants.

Located near Dame Street is the majestic Dublin Castle, which was originally built as a fort for defense and later transformed into a royal residence. It hosts the Heineken Green Energy festival every year on the month of May. Besides this, there are a lot of different festivals celebrated mostly in the summer. These festivals are of a vast category such as food, music, art, theatre and beer!

The Temple Bar, which is considered to be the cultural quarter of the city is famous for its nightlife. Be it rock concerts, shopping or pulsating discotheques, this is a great place to make your holiday vibrant. Phoenix Park is one of the biggest walled parks in Europe. Along with vast greens and artistic monuments, it also houses the Dublin Zoo.

National Museum of Ireland- Archaeology, has many interesting exhibits on the Vikings, the pre-historic era, the medieval period and old church treasures. Other attractions worth a visit include Guinness Storehouse, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, National Museum of Ireland, Trinity College, Ha’Penny Bridge, Old Jameson Distillery and National Gallery of Ireland.

In the summer, the city becomes more expensive for tourists, so if you have a crunched travel budget, you might consider booking Cheap Flights to Dublin during the winter.

Whether you want a tour of Dublin and see the common tourist destinations or choose to attend the different festivals and events to have ‘the Dublin experience’, either way, you won’t be disappointed.
